Carolina’s Airlink e-ticket confirms 4Z261 on 28 Nov. Her Chase Travel confirmation lists Turkish TK39 and TK179 from Johannesburg to Los Angeles via Istanbul, arriving 29 Nov. Qatar booking confirmation dated 7 September 2026, supplied by Jonathan on 30 September, confirms QR274 and QR1369. Istanbul connection times and Turkish checked-bag allowance remain unprovided.
02 · Connecting flights
All five are confirmed on 4Z261, VNX–JNB, 28 Nov at 1:30 PM. Jonathan, Amanda and Carolina connect on separate tickets; Noah and Kevin’s Airlink leg is included on their Emirates tickets.
The Airlink ticket covers VNX–JNB only. The United-issued ticket covers SFO–EWR–CPT, JNB–FRA and FRA–SFO. VNX–JNB is a separate positioning flight: do not assume missed-connection protection. Plan to collect bags and recheck with Lufthansa unless the airlines explicitly confirm another arrangement.
Each Emirates e-ticket lists all three return flights: Airlink VNX–JNB, Emirates JNB–DXB and DXB–SFO. This is a single ticketed return, not a separately purchased positioning leg. The Qatar outbound is a separate booking. United SFO–Singapore is another separate booking, in Basic Economy, with advance seats purchased.
Airlink VNX–JNB is a separate ticket from the Turkish Airlines JNB–IST–LAX booking made through Chase Travel. Do not assume missed-connection protection. Plan to collect bags and recheck with Turkish unless the airlines confirm another arrangement. Qatar AMS–DOH–CPT is confirmed in Economy (O).
Jonathan & Amanda: the scheduled JNB gap is 4h 30m. Noah & Kevin: 3h 35m before Emirates. Confirm check-in deadlines and baggage handling directly with the airlines; leave room for delays when planning the connection.
