Ask for a walk focused on Bo-Kaap and De Waterkant. Confirm its start and duration before adding the cableway. No dietary requirements have been reported. Keep the rest of the day flexible while everyone adjusts to the time change.

One special Cape Town meal
Choose an early Cape Town dinner on Friday, or a long Friday lunch at La Colombe if that is the meal everyone wants. Happy Uncles is another lead from the original list; its halaal menu is served without alcohol. La Colombe pairs better with the garden side of town and needs time for the meal and a car back. There are no dietary requirements. Budget is still open; compare current menus and deposits rather than using the old PDF’s prices.
Choose the kind of evening now; check the programme closer to travel
One night out · aim for 19 Nov
Keep a Thursday evening available for a show, dancing or both, with Friday morning free. Start near De Waterkant. Pink Candy and Zer021 were ideas in the old list, but their November events and opening nights are not confirmed. If the preferred event is Friday-only, agree the early-flight tradeoff before committing. A bar stop is a fallback, not a booked event.

Island excursion · 27 Nov, with 26 Nov as an option
Request one day for five, with 26 Nov as a weather alternative and enough time back for Thanksgiving dinner. Ask Odyssea and Sailaway about swimming confidence, shade, snorkeling time, park fees, lunch, pickup and refunds. Two consecutive full boat days would leave little time to enjoy the villa; add a second outing only after the group decides it wants one. No place is being held.
Keep flexible; buy through official channels
Table Mountain, gardens and optional extras
The cableway currently lists standard tickets as valid for seven days; check the applicable terms before buying and the operating status before setting out. Kirstenbosch does not need to anchor the whole week. Leave a cruise, helicopter flight or extra museum until the main plans and weather are clear.
How the earlier suggestions fit this plan
What we kept from Noah and Kevin’s list
The PDF and the later spreadsheet both favor food, history, scenery and time to relax. We have kept that mix and the idea of one main booked outing each day. The spreadsheet also makes room for a special Cape Town meal, lodge-led safari days and a private-chef Thanksgiving dinner; those are reflected here as proposals, not extra confirmed bookings.
Keep each outing in one area
Combine Bo-Kaap with De Waterkant, and Robben Island with the Waterfront. Give the Peninsula its own day. Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Boulders and an optional St James stop belong along that coastal route; save a separate Clifton or Sea Point visit for free time. Kirstenbosch works best as a half-day rather than a stop between the mountain and a cruise.
A few ideas stay optional
The Peninsula is the recommended choice over Atlantis: it combines Boulders penguins, Cape Point and several beaches from the original list in one coastal loop. Atlantis is a separate outing north of town, worth swapping in if quad biking matters more to the group. Helicopter flights, kayaking, Lion’s Head and a sunset cruise remain optional alternatives; none was marked as a must-do. One evening out is now part of the plan, with the venue still to choose. The spreadsheet gives the sunset cruise its own booking slot; this version frees that slot for the Peninsula and leaves the cruise as a choice if the group prefers it.
Two ideas do not fit these dates
Lesedi is near Johannesburg, not Cape Town, and does not fit an airport connection. The Sunday Unitarian service also falls outside our Monday-to-Saturday Cape Town stay. District Six Museum is the Cape Town history museum in the list; it is separate from Johannesburg’s Apartheid Museum.
EDGE’s current site directs bookings to VUE Shortmarket, so confirm the current restaurant concept before treating the old menu as an option. We have not reused old restaurant prices, club hours or safari payment dates.
